Went to Cal Tech to watch solar eclipse. It was just 70% or so but was amazing. In this tense and chaotic time good things are a soothing respite. Also learned that the English Field Cricket which was on the brink of extinction has made an amazing come back. Yeah for field crickets.Hope they did not look directly at the sun during the solar eclipse or they could sustain damage known as solar retinopathy. I did look but had the special glasses that probably a field cricket would not have access to. Other interesting news, there are more Spanish speakers in the U.S. than in Spain. I continue to study Spanish but may never become one of the over 50 million U.S. Spanish speakers.
It is probably good to study languages to keep the mind active. Exercise is good for the body, mind and soul as is coffee. So, don't look at the sun, learn languages while exercising and drinking coffee. And if you are in England listen to the field crickets but be careful to not step on them. Have a great Wednesday.
