Super Wolf Blood Moon and Saturn’s Vanishing Rings

Saturn’s rings are almost new. And Texas Tech has lost two games in a row. There to so much to comprehend. Sadly a large number of fruit bats have died because of of extreme heat in Australia. Last night I saw the Super wolf blood moon. Could this be a portent of coming good fortune? Will the fruit bats thrive as the temperature cools in Australia? Are Federal workers going to get paid? Could Texas Tech win again? Will Brexit be settled? Can we save Saturn’s Rings?

Rain and Jackals

It is raining and there are a lot of Golden Jackals in Europe, They are spreading. And George, the last of his species, died in Hawaii. He was 15 and probably not aware he was the last. At least he was not eaten by a jackal nor a wolf snail. A 30 acre mushroom in Michigan is 2,500 year old has mutated little over the years. Finally our president has stated that he is not a Russian agent.

Sunshine Before the Storms

Tomorrow will bring much needed rain. And the Hubble telescope is aging. Hope it doesn’t need a complete knee replacement. So much has been discovered and knowledge of our universe has expanded. As I sit here a car alarm is sounding and the neighborhood husky is making that husky sound. We have seen something of a cosmic signal. Could it be a voice from distant life? Have a great Sunday and we have ba tranquil time for a change.

Rainy Season?

I learn much while watching TV and stretching knee. There are many medications that seem to have terrible side effects. Sometimes I forget what they treat. You know it’s time to reflect when you hear, Don’t use if you are pregnant or your mother has ever been pregnant. Am now listening to news about government shut down, the wall, and the teachers strike. But the great news is a week of rain. Maybe we wil move out of severe drought status. And my college is now 7th or 8th in basketball.

My home town

As I turn 80 and have a new knee my thoughts have returned to my home town. It is still about the same size. When my mother played basketball for the high school in the early 20’s it was the same size. Where some towns have become over a million in population my home town has hardly ever gone over 1000. Such consistent behavior somehow is calming in these wildly changing times. One great part of my school was the indoor plumbing and we had a swing set, a merry go round, and even a windmill to climb. I was afraid to climb the windmill. Tatum is a long way from Ultima Thule.
