And that is a positive note in a world filled with negativity. Beyond that some scientists think they have viewed lightning in the clouds surrounding Venus. Storms on Neptune may have winds well over 1000 MPH. In addition to all that,we have received almost two inches of rain in Los Angeles. We have surpassed the Atacama Desert. Will Pluto again become a planet? Probably it will at the same time a $2,000 check is sent to most Americans.
As it is almost New Year’s Eve my thoughts turn to resolutions. I was never really good at making or keeping resolutions. As a student, each year I was resolved to be organized, take good notes and in college not ditch many classes. As an undergraduate I failed at most of these endeavors. It would have been good to know then about the singing dog. This year I may resolve to not watch the news so much. Maybe then, one day I will hear the bells ringing as we are back to a better future. That resolution will last as log as a kite flying during a Neptune wind storm.
