Another Hot Day in November

While I don’t expect snow on Thanksgiving Day it should not be in the 90’s. Is this a result of global warming or extraterrestrial terroists trying to bake us? No candidate in the late election used that term, “extraterrestrial terroists.”  Are these apocalyptical times? Somehow I see sand and tumbleweeds blowing across a desolate landscape with an old Drive in screen falling apart. But there are also positive happenings. My daughter is building a tiny house and I am going to help her as soon as I finish this. I also read that some frog is making a come back.  And it is not true that as a youth I was in a protest movement shouting 54 40 or fight.

A FEW DROPS OF RAIN, CLOUDS ON PLUTO , AND TASMANIAN DEVIL MILK TO THE RESCUE

Was hoping that this morning’s rain would quench the thirst of my parched back yard. Alas, so far only a few drops. In this contentious  election year can one find any solance? Will the milk from the Tasmanian Devil help defeat the new  super bacteria? Studies are being run and is this not amazing? I have to admit that we had no Tasmanian Devils on the high plains of New Mexico. Am now waiting for the brewing of my French Roast coffee in my little French Press. Maybe the meaning of life will become clear as I sit here and sip my cup of morning java.

Now to the possibility that Pluto has clouds and probably moe rain than we got this morning. Could we colonize Pluto in our life times? Probably only if we are a young bristle coned pine. Did I spell that correctly? Think of all the jobs that could be created making suitable clothing for the far away drawf planet. I do not think solar panels would be very helpful in meeting the energy needs of our purpose colony. Ah, it is time to fill my cup. My your cup be full of great coffee, happiness and perhaps Tasmanian Devil milk if you need it.

BOB COLE’S AMAZING BLOG

It.s another great day of retirement for this retiree. The whole concept of work is now shrouded in my memory like King Kong’s Island was with fog. I have an amazing ability to study Spanish without learning but not feeling bad about it. So what great events are unfolding today? First I am going to get a crown. No it is not the long awaited throne of my lost kingdom. And am going to install a fire/ CO alarm. What fun!

Reading the news I learned many things, important things. Venezuela has run out of sugar to the point that  Coca Cola does not have  enough to produce Coke. Other bad news frogs are in decline around the world. With all the the bad news it was really gratifying to learn that Blake Shelton ate sushi for the first time. On top of that there is always some interesting news from the election front. Donald Trump is not happy with New Mexico’s governor. I was born in New Mexico but that is not why he is unhappy. Oh they are tearing our roof off. Have a great day and if not at least a pretty good one.

TOMORROW IS THURSDAY

Mecury has just past by the sun and we still have no plans to colonize. Why? Because we are not crazy. But looking at the presidential race we probably do have such plans. I nave been watching telenovelas and a new  French Language show on Netflix. I watch one with  Spanish subtitles. This should prepare me for something. Have about decided to just read science fiction until the election is over. Hope Brazil gets through it’s problems and has a great Olympics. Now to good news, Pluto reacts to the solar wind as a comet and a planet would. More and more Pluto is amazing. And my car probably does not have unsafe air bags. Have one of the best Thursdays ever.

THE DOW IS UP AND MAKEMAKE HAS A MOON

As I write the Dow is up, my order foe a selfie stick is in, and the drawf planet Makemake has a moon. All these seem to be positive in an era of spreading Zika Virus and the presidential primaries. Makemake is located somewhere in the region in which contains Pluto and it used to be considered “moonless.” What a relief to the Makemake fans.  On a less positive note, the Hadron Collider has been stopped by a wayward weasel. And there has been an unusually large number of scorpions in Arizona homes this spring due to an early warming. However this is good news to scorpion exterminators. Some good news seems to follow some bad news.

A NON POLITICAL RAINY DAY BLOG

My weather app is wrong! Anyway they are trying to bred cattle back to those that are painted on cave walls in France. Now is that exciting or not?  And the white nose bat disease has spread to the West Coast. It has nothing to do directly with California’s primaries. But it is not good for either the bats or us. Bats eat a gazillion insects. Good news, the SpaceX rocket bottom part land safely on a barge. Maybe that and the rain are a sign of good things to come. It seems that the little hobbit humans died out 50,000 or so years ago instead of 10,000 or so years ago. Also parrots are really smart but they are not allowed to vote and probably will not go to Mars on the first trips there. Do not keep your head up and mouth open in heavy rain.

TASMANIAN TIGERS AND 9 FT BIRDS

I sit here looking out my kitchen window and again pondering the meaning of meaning itself. I wonder if I could get Donald Trump to build a wall to keep rats out of my attic. When will the 2020 presidential really get started? Was surprised to learn about all the really big animals that lived in Australia. There were two ton marsupials and 9 foot tall birds. On top of that thre was a really big Kodomo type lizard. Was sadden to learn that they will probably not find a live specimen of the Tasmanian tiger. Will some great discovery be made in or near the town I lived in until the 3rd grade, Tatum, New Mexico. Maybe there will be a Tatum Tiger which was 30 foot long and had two heads. Just remember to vote and vote for the right person. A person who could protect us from an mega attack of these tigers.

Einstein, Gravity, Wisdom and more.

Science is not my strongest area of knowledge but was really happy to hear that the chirp found in the collision of two black holes proved his theories correct.  Wonder if Donald Trump believes in Gravity?  What about Wisdom? She is a 60 year old albatross that has just hatched a chick. That is almost as remarkable as the chirp. I remember the albatross hung around the neck of the sailor and the famous line, water, water, everywhere and not a drop to drink. Wisdom’s chick was hatched on the Midway Atoll. That is a long way from the colliding black holes. Speaking of that, our election process goes on in this really strange way which will probably prove nothing concerning Einstein’s Theory. Have a great Thursday.

AT LEAST FOR TWO DAYS A DAILY BLOG

We are past New Hampshire. What does It all mean? And a rare albino turtle has made it to the sea in Australia. Is this a good or bad omen? Just read an article about the human chin. Does It have a purpose? Is it as important as the albino turtle and the primary in New Hampshire? Only time will tell. Other primates do not have a chin. That is probably why they did not invent the wheel or have flat screen 4K TVs. Where is El Niño? Will it rain later in the spring or even the summer? Can weird election years cause climate change? So many questions and so few answers. Have a great day and may the luck of the albino turtle drape over your head.

RENEWED MANLYPOODLEKIP

It is supposed to be 0ver 90 today and El Niño has brought little rain to Southern California. On top of that I learned that I needed to renew this site. For a moment I thought that perhaps I should retire. No such luck, I’m back. Coffee and aspirin are good for you unless they are bad for you. How bad will the Zika virus be? Good news, the different kinds of greens growing in our winter garden are tastey, zesty and ready to eat. And have just learned that I have an appointment with my eye doctor. Should I get a DNA test from Ancestry? What if I am 15% alien from out there? Anyway just some thoughts on this hot February morning.
