Just read that there is a Brazilian island that is home to a really venomous snake. People are not allowed on the island. The venom is neurotoxic, hemotoxic and makes the skin melt. Probably not a good place for a Snakeworld amusement park. And have read that the honeybee is dying off because of a combination of a virus and mites. But there is good news. The Super Bowl half time was really entertaining. Finally, what will be the effect of a blizzard in New Hampshire on tomorrow’s primary? What if they had both the blizzard and those snakes from Brazil?
Trump v Fox Sanders v Washington Post
January 29, 2016 at 12:02 am (Uncategorized)
Actually I was very excited to learn that there is a solar system out there that has a planet that takes a million years to orbit it’s star. Now that is a really long time. Also read that the Babylonians used astrological geometry 1400 years before Europeans did. Good news concerning the growing number of Polecats in Britain, They have been protected for a number of years. And tonight is the Republican debate with Donald Trump missing. There probably is no relationship with the super big solar system or the resurgence of the British Polecats with these political events.
THE NEW NINTH PLANET AND BUSH DOGS
January 24, 2016 at 6:26 pm (Uncategorized)
It is a little cool for Los Angeles but when compared to the East Coast and the Earth some 750 million years ago it is really warm. As bad as conditions were in Washington they were much worse when the world was just a giant snow ball. Could climate change also be affected by the gravitational pull of the unseen ninth planet. We should ask Sheldon Cooper. Was really glad to see the photos of the elusive Bush Dog in Panama. They are almost never seen or photographed. There are probably no Bush Dogs on the ninth planet because it is way out there. Have a wonderful day.
SUPER GIANT SUPER NOVAS
January 15, 2016 at 11:15 pm (Uncategorized)
It is amazing what we learn about our past from modern super telescopes and DNA. Not only that coffee is still very good for us. What if they find that coffee was used by the pre Neanderthals? Could they have had something like our super lotteries? 45,000 years ago humans killed and ate a mammoth in what is now Northern Russia. That was 10,000 years before humans had been thought to live in that region. And there is the discovery of the Super Duper Super Nova. What will be discovered next? Well, the stock market is down and the Republicans have had another debate. This is probably not related to the fact that human activity may have slowed the development of a new ice age. Have a wonderful Friday.
RACCOON INVASION
January 2, 2016 at 9:09 pm (Uncategorized)
Not a collusion with a comet or meteor or a zombie attack but a raccoon invasion of Brooklyn. This headline brought back memories of reading about the American raccoon chewing up wooden castles in Japan and making it’s home in German cities. I suppose that is better than the comets or zombies. Good news, sea snakes thought extinct found. And just read that the spiny fishes that live near the ocean floor may number in the quadrillions. These little guys do not have to worry about the raccoons at least for now. And the vast watery ocean on Saturn,s moon,Enceladus, has conditions suitable for the development of life. It is doubtful that the spikey fish, sea snakes, raccoons or even a giant squid will be extant on Enceladus. Another good bit of news to welcome in the New Year, eggs and shell fish are now considered healthy food.
MY BEST BLOG TODAY

A it is cool here today but not really cold. If we were tourist on Pluto very warm clothing would be required. The pictures from Pluto were amazing but I guess that it is still a dwarf planet with no trees. Speaking of trees, the Earth has over 3,000,000,000 trees. Just for the record, I have not personally counted them. Maybe will count the trees in my yard when it gets a bit warmer. There were probably twice as many trees when an early human may have still been alive as late as 12,000 years ago. A single bone was found in China. What new discoveries will the new year bring? May all of us have a most wonderful New Year.
Super solar flares, Stonehenge moved and happiness doesn’t make us live longer
December 10, 2015 at 9:54 pm (Uncategorized)
Just read that Donald Trump has postponed his visit to Israel. Also just read that the Prime Minister’s newly adopted rescue dog bit two visitors. Are these events related? What’s the real truth? These is a slight chance of a super solar flare that would not be nice for us. It’s not likely to happen. Apparently Stonehenge was built in Wales and then moved to its present location. Why? Was it the result of super solar flares or even a dog bite? Probably neither. We read that drinking coffee and exercise are beneficial to our health. But read that happiness doesn’t make us live longer. But it makes living longer more fun.
December Post
December 1, 2015 at 8:44 pm (Uncategorized)
On this cool December am writing my first post ever using an iPhone. It is the day after Cyber Monday. There is Black Friday and perhaps even Zombie Grandma Day. Two days that really have meaning for me are Talk Like a Pirate Day and Bloom’s Day. Mars may have rings one day and a gibbon that lives on a Chinese island is endangered. Is there an Endangered Gibbon Day?
DUNG BEETLES DIMINISHING IN NUMBERS IN GREAT BRITAIN
November 22, 2015 at 8:39 pm (Uncategorized)
As I was walking through the hills of my neighborhood I began to ponder the article about the little creatures. Without them will the planet have a dung age which in some ways could be worse than an ice age? On that note it seems that the Denisovans lived in Siberia as long as 110,000 years ago. They were related to the Neanderthals. And it seems that many many millions of years ago we were much like some slimy deep ocean worm.
Is there any society in Great Britain dedicated to saving the dung beetle?
SOLAR WINDS, GIANT ICE VOLCANOS, AND A VENUS LIKE EXOPLANET
November 16, 2015 at 6:58 pm (Uncategorized)
Am sitting here looking out my kitchen window watching the effect of strong winds on bushes and trees. And this after having read that solar winds caused Mars to lose its atmosphere. Have tested my breathing and do not feel that these winds are taking our atmosphere. Pluto has giant ice volcanoes. Some day that drawf planet may be a destination site for really expensive weddings. In the distant future presidential debates may be held there. There is some good news and a little bad news concerning bees. There have been many hive failures of European Honey Bees but the Africanized Honey Bee seems to be thriving. The bad news is they seem to defend their hives as a swarm. No bees could live on an Earth sizes exoplanet not too many light years away. It is so close to its dwarf star sun that it is much more Venus-like. It will probably never be an agricultural center nor a destination wedding favorite.
